Alphonse Izzo is a composer and performer based in New Haven, CT. He is a graduate of the Hartt School where he studied composition with Robert Carl, Steve Gryc, Ingram Marshall, David McBride and Larry Alan Smith. His music has been performed and broadcast in the USA, Canada, Europe and South America.
Recent premieres include his piece “Reckoning” performed in Argentina by KLANG ensemble and his woodwind quintet “Become As Became” as part of the London New Winds Festival. Other recent premieres have taken place during the “Contemporanea” new music festival in Udine, Italy and the ÉuCuE Concert Series in Montreal, CA. Mr. Izzo is currently represented by Honey Rock Publishing and Canondale Publishing and his music appears on CD via Trace Label and Vox Novus labels.
